Quincy Water Association was established in 1967 with a loan/grant from the Farmers Home Administration. The association began with one well and served 47 customers. Over the years the association grown to serve over 1,800 customers, with two treatment plants, one located on Athens Quincy Road, and the other on Splunge Road. The association operated 6 wells at Quincy and 4 at Splunge, has 4 elevated tanks and 3 stand pipes. By the fall of 2012 the association will have generations in place to power the wells and treatment plants during power outages.
Meters are read and billed each month stating the amount due, consumption and delinquent date.
