How to Read your Meter

THE ASSOCIATION USES RADIO READ METERS TO OBTAIN MONTHLY USEAGE. INSIDE THE METER BOX YOU WILL FIND A CUT OFF VALVE ONE METER AND ONE MXU.  MEMBERS MAY CHECK THE WATER METER READING OR LEAK INDICATOR FOR MONITORING WATER USAGE AND DETERMINING WATER LOSS.  THE ASSOCIATION METERS MEASURES WATER IN US GALLONS FROM A TOTALIZER ON THE FACE OF THE METER THAT LOOKS LIKE CAR ODOMETER AND THE READINGS ARE RECORDED IN  1 US GALLION. THE LAST MUMBER IS NOT RECORDED.( NOT ALL METERS HAVE BEEN CHANGED OUT A T THIS TIME)

IF YOU WISH TO DO A DAILY READING, PLEASE READ ALL THE NUMBERS THE LAST NUMBER TO THE RIGHT IS 1/10 OF A GALLON.  A FULL REVOLUTION OF THE RED SWEEP HAND IS ONE US GALLON.

YOU CAN ESTIMATE ABOUT 50-60 GALLONS MULTIPLIED BY THE NUMBER OF PERSONS IN THE HOUSEHOLD TO DETERMINE AN AVERAGE DAILY USAGES.

THE NUMBER READ WOULD BE SUBTRACTED FROM THE READING OF THE FOLLOWING DAY TAKES ABOUT THE SAME TIME TO DETERMINE DAILY USAGE.  MULTIPLY THAT NUMBER BY THE NUMBER DAYS IN MONTH TO DETERMINE AN AVERAGE MONTHLY WATER USAGE. (SEE THE RATE SCHEDULE)
